Also known as Lake Preveli or Finikas. Located approximately 35 kilometers from the city of Rethymno and 10km from the town of Plakias, it’s perhaps the most well-known destination outside the city of Rethymno. On your way to the beach, you can visit Kourtaliotiko gorge, the Prevelis monastery and Plakias.
The most basic characteristic of the beach is the palm forest and the river that crosses it.
